Job Description:
UniFirst Corporation, a leader in the provision of workplace
uniforms and protective work wear, is seeking a motivated HR
Generalist to join our HR team. This role is instrumental in
supporting our diverse workforce throughout the US, Europe, and
Canada, ensuring employee relations, performance management, and HR
compliance align with our high standards and organizational goals.
In this position, you will act as a consultant to management on
human resource-related issues, assist with the development of HR
policies, and facilitate the uniform and facility services programs
by engaging productively with employees across all levels. Provide
guidance on compliance with global HR policies and legal
requirements. Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment
processes. Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training &
development initiatives. Provide support to employees in various
HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any
issues that may arise. Promote HR programs to create an efficient
and conflict-free workplace. Assist in development and
implementation of human resource policies. Gather and analyze data
with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover
rates. Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new
perks and benefits and organizing team building activities. Proven
experience as an HR Generalist. Understanding of general human
resources policies and procedures. Good knowledge of
employment/labor laws. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS
systems will be a plus. Excellent communication and people skills.
Aptitude in problem-solving. Desire to work as a team with a
results driven approach. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
or HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
