Job Description Company Description Robust private practice thoracic surgery group in Palm Beach County Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Physician Assistant at a Thoracic Surgery Practice located in Palm Beach Country, FL. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with the surgical team to provide comprehensive patient care, including pre-operative assessments, assisting during surgery, and post-operative care. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, rounding on the wards, and providing patient education. The role requires close communication and teamwork with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients. Qualifications Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning Proficiency in pre-operative and post-operative care, with knowledge specific to thoracic surgery Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and collaboration with medical teams Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment A degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program Active Physician Assistant certification and state licensure in Florida Experience in a surgical or healthcare setting is preferred BLS/ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within a designated period of employment
