our customers. Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account
Manager to join our growing team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL! The
Commercial Lines Account Manager will work closely with the
producer and/or account executive to service new and existing
accounts. Maintain Agency retention goals and service standards.
Responsible for retaining specifically assigned Commercial accounts
through servicing and marketing responsibilities. How You Will
Contribute Establish and maintain positive working relationships
with customers to support account retention and proactively address
issues. Collaborate with marketing, gather updated client
information, and manage the renewal process including quoting and
recommending appropriate markets. Handle client requests and review
policies, endorsements, and forms for accuracy, recommending
necessary changes or amendments. Oversee preparation of binders,
certificates, invoices, ID cards, and manage policy cancellations,
document storage, and policy issuance. Maintain up-to-date
knowledge of carrier underwriting criteria, rates, and rating
methodologies, and negotiate with underwriters as needed. Prepare
complete submissions, check policies and quotations for accuracy,
and coordinate necessary corrections with carriers and clients.
Utilize agency automation systems proficiently to manage account
activities and ensure proper follow-up on outstanding tasks. Work
closely with the Accounting Department on premium financing, clear
account and commission discrepancies, and keep producers informed.
Correspond with insurance markets and clients, occasionally
accompany producers on client visits as requested. Engage in
ongoing personal and professional development and maintain regular
attendance as a job requirement. Licenses and Certifications:
Florida Agents License CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful: High School degree including
management courses preferred or the equivalent. At least four years
