Job Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and
monitoring quality metrics throughout the organization, ensuring
companywide compliance with ISO 9001, and that all process controls
are in place to achieve the highest level of product quality in
design, manufacturing and service. Primary Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and enhancing the existing quality process and
practice
- Managing the Quality Management System, support corporate audit
activity, and work jointly with corporate compliance group on risk
management processes
- Performing root-cause analysis and other problem-solving
activities to identify effective corrective actions and process
improvements
- Presenting KPI's internally/externally to define actions and
priorities, and track and monitor results
- Assisting Incoming QA Inspectors and Assembly Technicians in
problem solving as needed
- Preparing product and process quality reports by collecting,
analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Reporting to management on quality issues, trends and
losses
- Maintaining strong relationships with leaders across the
organization related to quality issues
- Providing guidance and technical expertise to departments and
projects that concern quality
- Leading internal audits and participating in external
audits.
- Supporting concurrent engineering efforts by participating in
design development projects representing quality assurance and the
customer
- Overseeing quality-related activities and tasks to maintain
excellence in product development and product transition (R&D)
to design and to manufacturing.
- Ensuring that corporate quality processes are implemented and
followed.
- Following all company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
- 5 or more years of practical experience in quality management
and/or quality assurance, preferably in a highly standardized
environment such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or medical
devices
- Past experience managing a certified QMS (i.e., ISO
9001:2015)
- Needs to have a strong understanding and experience with
quality principles, tools and respective methodologies (i.e., Root
Cause Analysis, Lean / Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement,
etc.), and be a change agent
- Must have strong business acumen and excellent written and
verbal communication skills Preferred Skills
- Master's Degree
- SAP experience
- Experience with scientific instrumentationSkills and
QualificationsThe Quality Manager will possess leadership skills in
addition to technical skills, soft skills and industry knowledge to
lead a team of engineers, including:

the needs of the department and then create a plan to meet the
requirements

environment
- Time Management: Ability to deliver on time with optimal use of
resources, achieve desired results within given time frames and
decide between conflicting priorities.
- Leadership: Demonstrates the ability to manage, lead and enable
others in order to navigate departmental or organizational change
Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsWhile performing the
duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit,
stand, walk, observe, communicate and handle items such as
computers, machinery and other equipment. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Position requires
the ability to obtain a Passport for international travel. In
regards to organizational issues, the employee will comply with the
regulations set forward in the Anton Paar Employee Handbook, except
