In this role, the successful candidate the Associate Director of Operations will be responsible for critical functions in the Faculty Group Practice Central Billing Office (CBO) South. S/he will manage the Training, Process Improvement, Offshore Management, and Quality Control teams, and also serve as the primary liaison between the Florida, West Coast, and NYC operations. The Associate Director will have primary responsibility for monitoring overall performance metrics and finding opportunities for improving efficiency/quality and optimizing workflows across all teams. S/he will be an integral part of the overall CBO management team working collaboratively with Coding, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, Patient Access, Payment Posting, and other regional billing offices.The Associate Director will work closely with practice managers/administrators, account managers, revenue cycle staff, vendors, managed care, credentialing, and medical center IT teams. The ideal candidate must understand complete revenue management workflows and have strong analytical/critical thinking skills.Job Responsibilities: Review metrics of all teams and ensure standards are met and create project plans as neededGather/analyze data and make recommendations to leadershipDirectly manage the Training/QA, Process Improvement, and Offshore teams ensuring that performance expectations are met to effectively manage growth and improve metricsMaintain training materials, workflows, and other related workflow documentsServe as an operational liaison between all CBO offices identifying opportunities for teams to work collaboratively and identify areas for improvementDevelop tools for managing the metrics including staffing models, staff assessments, and quality control processesEnsure data collection and analyses are completed on timeMonitor key metrics and develop project plans to improve performanceBenchmark against other Epic clients, University Healthcare Consortium Participants, and other entitiesImplement new systems/tools in conjunctions with IT, operations, and practicesDevelop, maintain and oversee continual improvement of ongoing Quality Assurance programPerform regular practice performance evaluationsEvaluate/mitigate risks and triage workflow issuesParticipate in meetings and workflow development sessionsIdentify change management needsDevelop and maintain policies and proceduresManage meetings and communicate progress/issues to leadershipCommunicate practice updates to Business AdministratorsTrack and communicate results over all assigned areas and projectsParticipate in assigned workgroupsDiscuss decision points with CBO Leadership and Central AdministrationShare policies and procedures as neededWork with Epic Training Department to develop/approve new training materialsWork with CBO leadership to develop operational training programs and see these items to completion Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration or related field required or combination of experience and educationRequires 8+ years in a billing office or healthcare setting with prior experience of healthcare finance, operations, medical reimbursement and managed care contracts thorough knowledge of practice management and revenue cycle.Preferred Qualifications:Personal Characteristics posses outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to gain confidence and trust across the FGP. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, direct, train and interact with staff and outside contacts. Strong conceptual and analytical abilities with the ability to identify issues and opportunities and be able to solve problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills. Ability to conceptualize work flow, develop plans and implement appropriate actions.
