Job Description Job Description NOVA Engineering is seeking a full-time CMT Engineering Technician for our Construction Materials Testing department in the Fort Lauderdale, FL metropolitan statistical area (MSA). The individual will be responsible for the following: Field testing and inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications. Review of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites. Prepare detailed and accurate reports of findings and communicate results to project managers and clients. Daily use of Metafield for recording of testing results. Communication of field testing results with Construction Services staff, general contractors, and clients. Travel to job sites across the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area. Qualifications: 2 years of experience in the Construction Materials Testing industry Certifications from the following entities are highly desirable: American Concrete Institute (ACI), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), International Code Council (ICC), NICET, or Post-tensioning Institute (PTI) ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification (Level 1) is required Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
