Volt is immediately hiring Engineering Technician in Palm Bay, FL

As an Engineering Technician you will have:
Mechanical Assembly Skills: Proficiency in building complex mechanical assemblies.
Computer Skills: Adept at programming assemblies using relevant software.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering work instructions, drawings, or schematics to effectively perform job duties.
Supervision: Capable of working under direct supervision, adhering to a prescribed set of processes and procedures.
Collaboration with Engineers: Engage directly with engineers to optimize processes in a Lean production environment, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to support GEMBA activities focused on safety, quality, deliveries, improvements, and 5S+1 activities.
Interdepartmental Communication: Ability to communicate with contacts both within and outside the department, involving the exchange of information that requires explanation or interpretation to reach mutual understanding and agreement.
Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to learn new tools.
Team Impact: Strong motivation to positively impact the performance and work experience of the team.
Adaptability: Demonstrated readiness to work effectively in an environment where priorities may change frequently.


The ideal candidate will have:
Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
MES and PLM applications experience is preferred
Ability to lift to 35lbs of weight to workbench
Experience in a production manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics
Occasional weekend, off-shift, and overtime work

Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows and Office.
Team Collaboration: Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.

Pay Range : $25.00 - $27 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
