Chakra Challenge - Yoga & Holistic Wellness is looking to hire an experienced and certified yoga instructor with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of yoga. Instructors with skills and experience in Hatha, Restorative, Yin, Chair, Gentle, Kundalini and Iyengar yoga are preferred.


The yoga instructor is responsible for performing yoga poses in precise alignment, using the correct terminology, and safely guiding students through the flow of the practice. Instructors should be comfortable implementing the chakra system, pranayama, mantra, and mindful meditation into flows. A strong emphasis on incorporating spirituality in your teaching is preferred.


Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and lead yoga sessions. Passion for health and wellness, coupled with knowledge of the anatomy of the human body and physiology, will ensure success teaching at Chakra Challenge -.


*Duties & Responsibilities*


* Enthusiastically and authentically greet and interact with members/students in a professional and friendly manner before and after class

* Guide thoughtfully curated yoga classes, offering modifications and clear instruction to all students in class

* Visually assess students to determine their level of practice

* Assist students to achieve precise alignment

* Possess the ability to move energy through the body

* Transform energy during the warm-up, build-up and cool-down stages

* Motivate students with words of encouragement

* Offer training recommendations to improve the practice of yoga

* Engage in administrative duties (i.e. Verify student attendance, unlocking/locking the studio)

* Assist students in performing all poses effectively

* Ensure appropriate ambiance for participants to perform yoga exercises


*Experience and Qualifications*


* Minimum 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification & registered with Yoga Alliance

* 2-3 years of yoga instructor experience preferred

* Current independent contractor liability insurance

Education:


* High school or equivalent (Preferred)


Experience:


* Yoga Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)


License/Certification:


* Minimum 200-hr RYT certification (Required)
