Job Description:
Tennis Pro Shop Attendant/receptionist- Part time /2 days-
Saturday and Sundays 7:30am-3:30pm
-Responsible for Tennis Pro Shop and Facility Operations.
Essential Functions
-Personally provide cordial and enthusiastic service (with a smile)
to all members & guests.
-Provide members & guests with accurate information on the tennis
program (leagues, instruction & events).
-Answer and use the phone in a professional manner and return calls
promptly.
-Taking clear, detailed & precise phone messages that include name,
phone number, time of call & message.
-Perform administrative tasks.
-Registering & collecting the appropriate guest fees.
-Enforce the clubs dress code rules.
-Assist in the selling, marketing and distribution of tennis pro
shop inventory.
-Assist the Pro Shop Manager with specific assigned tasks.
-Assist Director and Head Tennis professional with any duties as
needed.
-Prepare courts for evening league play (Score tenders, courts
groomed & lined)
-Secure and lock tennis facility prior to leaving.
-Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
-Must have computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office
programs, Internet, and basic database.
-Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures
within a country club.
-Efficiently handle multiple calls to customers,
members/subscribers, vendors and the general public.
-Respond to member inquiries in a courteous and friendly
manner.
-Must possess excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution
skills.
-Must possess excellent written and verbal communication
skills.
-Must possess excellent organizational skills and coordinate and
complete tasks with limited supervision.
-Must be a detail-oriented individual and possess time management
skills.
-Must maintain high performance standards.
-Simple computational skills (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide,
Percents)
-Ability to read and write in English with the ability to recognize
signs and symbols to engage with membership and vendors.
-Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all employees,
management and members.
