Job Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the financial processing
of transactions, G/L entries, and managing financial close
activities for Anton Paar QuantaTec. Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe
Staff Accountant job duties include:Accounts Payable management
including receiving, auditing and processing a high volume of
purchase order and non-purchase order related invoices in SAP
workflow matching dollar amounts and item quantities to purchase
orders and receipt confirmations, and ensuring postings to the
proper cost elements and G/L accounts.Accounts Receivable
management including managing prepayments, applying payments,
accruing/charging interest, creating certain group invoices, and
dunning notificationsPerforming daily bank postings, G/L entries,
and check depositsPreparing weekly posting of invoice payments and
expense reimbursementsPerforming monthly credit card statement and
petty cash reconciliationsSupporting month, quarter and year-end
closing proceduresPreparing monthly Plan to Actual variance reports
by cost center and internal orders for distribution to management
team highlighting deviations Assisting with periodic internal and
external financial audits, and providing supporting documentation
as requestedSupporting the Purchasing department on questions
regarding cost allocations, prepayments, Purchase Orders, Purchase
requisitions, and other topicsMeeting processing and reporting
deadlinesMaintaining fiscal files and records to document
transactionsMaintaining vendor banking information in SAP
Analyzing, researching and proactively resolving invoicing
issuesCommunicating professionally with internal business units in
order to resolve invoicing issues Researching, responding and
following up with vendor inquiries regarding invoicing and payment
matters on a daily / weekly basisPerforming other duties as
assigned Skills and QualificationsThe Staff Accountant will possess

5 years of accounting experienceTeam player that is self-motivated,
has excellent communication skills and is capable of working in a
high transaction volume environmentProficiency with Microsoft
ExcelWorking knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting
principlesExtraordinary attention to detail, analytical and
problem-solving skillsStrong verbal, interpersonal and written
communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a
fast-paced environmentAbility to handle confidential information in
a discreet, professional mannerAbility to be an effective team
member and display initiative Preferred Skills:Experience in a
manufacturing environment Supervision Exercised This role is an
independent contributor who is a member of multiple teams and does
not have supervisory responsibilities. Physical Requirements &
Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this position, the
employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, observe,
communicate and handle items such as computers, machinery and other
equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20
